MakeupFive ways to wear one shadow palette
02 Nov 2026 · By Maya Lindqvist · 5 min read
You do not need twelve palettes. You need one good one and five techniques. Here is how we stretch a single 35-shade palette across a whole week of faces.
1 · The sheer wash
One mid-tone matte, applied with a fluffy brush and blended past the crease. Ten seconds per eye, zero harsh lines — the everyday look behind most “no-makeup” makeup.
2 · The soft sculpt
Add a deeper matte to the outer third and a shimmer pressed on the centre of the lid with a fingertip. Instant dimension for lunches and meetings.
3 · The smoked lash line
Smudge a dark shade along the upper and lower lash lines with a pencil brush. Softer than liner, twice as forgiving — our most-requested evening upgrade.
4 · The foil moment
Dampen a flat brush, pick up a foil shade and press it on. Wet application turns shimmer into molten metal for parties and photographs.
5 · The full editorial
All of the above, plus a graphic edge: carve the crease with concealer and float a bold shade above it. This is the look to book a creative session for — we will guide your hand.
The palette we reach for on set is our Pro Eyeshadow Palette — the same one, in the shop.
